NPI is Speaking at the 2009 PDMA International Conference

Columbus, Ohio (August 17, 2009) – New Product Innovations is proud to announce their participation in the 33rd Annual PDMA International Conference in Anaheim, California this year from October 31st – November 4th. NPI is one of the conference sponsors as well as an exhibitor and has also been invited to be a moderator of a Guru Roundtable session.

This year’s conference theme is “Gaining Traction for What’s Ahead: Achieving Product Development Outcomes for Commercial Success.” As thought leaders and expert practitioners, NPI will be leading a group discussion on culture in the business process of innovation. NPI's Roundtable Session, entitled, "Which Came First: the Process or the Culture?" is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 4th, at 10:15 AM.

“We feel that a significant contributor to failed innovation is the organizational conflict between culture and process,” said Bob Messaros, EVP of NPI. “Companies have continued to look for the 'ideal' process to innovate, all the while ignoring the impact culture plays in preparing the organization to be successful. We've got it backwards in the copycat mentality -- if it worked for them it will work for us,"  concluded Messaros.

The Roundtable Sessions are considered an important part of the PDMA International Conference because of the unique learning format they provide. NPI's Roundtable Session will be an interactive group discussion that will hopefully make participants think differently about the challenges of innovation. NPI looks forward to the opportunity to be engaged in a dialogue with a refreshing point of view.
